Classic Island Home is what the name says: a white, metal-roofed coastal home with deep porches on both floors, set on a canal in Anna Maria with a dock out back. The living floors sit above ground level, a wide stair climbs to the front porch, and a detached two-car garage completes the paver motor court.

Inside, the rooms are bright and easy. The kitchen centers on a long marble island under a pair of glass lanterns, dark wood floors run through the main level, and a coffered ceiling and fireplace anchor the living room. A vaulted sitting room with an arched window adds a second place to gather.

Nearly every room opens to a porch, including a bedroom with a swing just outside its doors. It is a house built around being outside, in the shade, with the water in view.

“We built our home with Ross Built in 2016, and ten years later, we can honestly say we love our home as much today as we did when we first moved in. We always felt that the Ross Built team cared as much about getting the details right as we did.”
