About Us

Who We Are

A Family Company, Twenty Years In

Ross Built Custom Homes is a family-owned custom home builder based in Bradenton, Florida. We have been building and remodeling one-of-a-kind homes on the Gulf Coast since 2006.

The family still runs it. Lee Ross leads the company as Principal, Andrew runs pre-construction and Jake runs construction. See how we got here.

We take on a small number of custom homes at a time, and most of them are on the water: Gulf-front and bayfront homes, a home on a private island with no bridge and the restoration of a historic estate on Lido Key. Half of our portfolio is on Anna Maria Island. The rest is spread across Longboat Key, Sarasota and Bradenton, and we take on homes in St. Petersburg and Tampa as well. See where we build.

What sets us apart is the work we do before construction starts. We join your design team early, price the home as it is drawn and handle permitting in-house, including state coastal review on beachfront lots. The budget is open-book, so you see every number. See how the process works.

Our mission is to exceed stakeholder expectations and create an exceptional building experience. The Ross Built Standard is how we hold ourselves to it.
