Palma Sola Modern was designed by Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors as “a simple but beautiful backdrop” to family life on Palma Sola Bay. The house is elevated and the windows are placed so that every view lands on water, landscape, and the pool, never on the neighbors.

The plan is organized on two levels around one central, completely open common area. A wall of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opens the great room to a covered balcony, with a second outdoor room below for dining and entertaining, and a sweeping curved roofline shades the glass, cuts solar heat gain, and gives the house its signature profile.

Ross Built delivered the exacting details the design demanded: long cantilevers, crisp white forms, a sculptural glass skylight, and walnut cabinetry against white quartz, all on a green lawn that runs straight to the bay.

Recognition: SRQ Home of the Year 2021, Gold (Best Overall Home, $1 to $2 Million). Aurora Awards 2020, Silver (Best Custom Home Under 4,000 sq. ft.).
