CASEY KEY
A narrow barrier island of Gulf-to-bay estates between Osprey and Nokomis, with one winding road and almost nothing but homes.
Building on Casey Key
Casey Key is about eight miles long and in places only a few hundred feet wide. One road runs its length, and many properties reach from the Gulf on one side to the bay on the other. It is some of the most private waterfront on the coast.
Homes here tend to be large, detailed and years in the making, which is the kind of project we are built for. Casey Key is under Sarasota County’s building department.
Gulf-to-Bay Sites
With water on both sides, siting the house means balancing two shorelines, two sets of setbacks and the views each way.
One Road In
Casey Key Road is narrow and winding. Large deliveries, cranes and concrete pours are scheduled carefully.
Coastal Permitting
Gulf-front construction requires a state coastal permit along with the county’s. We handle both in-house.
Exposure
These homes take the weather directly. Structure, glazing and finishes are specified to last in it.
