Sarasota
LIDO KEY
Gulf beach, bay frontage and St. Armands Circle, a few minutes over the bridge from downtown Sarasota.
Building on Lido Key
Lido Key sits just past St. Armands Circle. The Gulf side is beach, the bay side looks back at the downtown skyline, and the streets in between hold some of Sarasota’s earliest island houses. It is inside the City of Sarasota, so the city’s building department reviews the work.
Our restoration of the Van Wezel Estate is here. It earned a national award for historic preservation, and it is the project we point to when someone asks whether an older home can be saved.
Restore or Replace
Not every older home should come down. We can price both paths so the decision is made on facts.
City of Sarasota Review
Lido Key projects are permitted through the city, with FEMA flood elevation and coastal wind requirements.
Gulf Side
Beachfront lots add a state coastal permit and sea turtle lighting rules.
Bay Side
Seawalls, docks and the view back to downtown shape how a bay-front house is sited.
