Where We Build / Bradenton

Building on the Manatee River

The Manatee River is close to a mile wide where it passes Bradenton, which makes a riverfront lot feel more like open bay. Homes along the south bank look north across the water, with deep lots, old oaks and room for a real dock.

Modern River House is our home on the river, a modern house designed around that view.

River Exposure

The river is wide and open to weather from the north and west. Glazing and structure are specified for it.

Deep Lots

Long lots give room for a motor court, guest quarters and outdoor living between the house and the water.

Seawall and Dock

River frontage means a seawall and usually a dock and a lift. We include them in the plan from the start.

Flood Zones

Riverfront homes are built above flood elevation, and the site grading is designed around it.
